What's New in Brault — April 2026

Apr 5, 20262 min read

Here's what we shipped in April 2026.

Boards: project management where your files live

The biggest update this month. Boards bring Kanban-style workflow tracking directly into your file workspace. Define custom properties (status, person, date, checkbox), drag files between columns, and track creative projects without switching tools.

We wrote a detailed walkthrough: Introducing Boards: Manage Projects Where Your Files Live.

Key highlights:

  • Custom properties on files — status, person, date, checkbox. Your workflow, your rules.
  • Group by any property — see progress by status, workload by person, or deadlines by date.
  • Real-time sync — changes appear instantly for all team members.
  • Published Boards — share a branded, read-only Kanban view with clients.

Boards are available on all plans, including Free.

Blog launch

You're reading it. We launched the Brault blog to share guides, product updates, and insights on creative file management. Expect comparisons, tutorials, and workflow tips alongside product news.

SEO and structured data improvements

Under the hood, we made significant improvements to how Brault appears in search engines and AI assistants:

  • Expanded Schema.org structured data across all pages — Organization, SoftwareApplication, FAQPage, and BreadcrumbList schemas now render server-side in every prerendered page.
  • New llms.txt — a machine-readable product description optimized for AI models that search the web.
  • Updated sitemap and robots.txt — all public pages are now correctly indexed with current dates.

These changes help search engines and AI assistants understand what Brault does and recommend it more accurately.

What's next

We're working on more content for the blog — comparisons with other creative file management tools, workflow guides, and deeper dives into features like AI Search and BTransfer. Stay tuned.
