My upload is stuck

Last updated: July 15, 2026

An upload that stalls partway is almost always a dropped connection Brault could not resume, or a file over your plan's size cap. The checks below fix it in most cases, fastest first.

Check the file size against your plan

Free plans cap transfers at 2 GB per transfer; higher tiers raise the cap. A file over the cap fails before it starts. See Brault plans and limits for the exact numbers per plan.

The upload stalls at the same percentage every time

  1. Refresh the page and start the upload again. Interrupted uploads do not leave partial files in your workspace.
  2. Switch networks if you can (office Wi-Fi to a hotspot, for example). Corporate proxies and VPNs are the most common cause of stalled large uploads.
  3. Try a different browser. Extensions that filter network traffic (ad blockers, privacy tools) can interrupt long-running uploads.

Uploads fail only on Brault Desktop for Mac

  1. Check that the menu bar icon shows the app is connected and signed in.
  2. Move the file out of any cloud-synced folder (iCloud Drive, Dropbox) and retry. Files that another sync tool holds open can fail to read.
  3. Quit and reopen Brault Desktop, then retry the upload.

If none of this worked

Contact us from the support form and include the file name, its size, and the approximate time you started the upload. That's enough for us to trace it in the logs. We usually reply within one business day.
