Privacy policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Brault App Corporation ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website https://brault.app/ ("Website") and use our services. By accessing or using our Website and services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

  • Register an Account: Name, email address, and password.
  • Contact Us: Email address and any information you include in your message.
  • Use Our Services: Usage data, preferences, and other information related to your interaction with our services.

Automatically Collected Information:

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system.
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on the site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain Our Services: Manage your account and provide customer support.
  • To Improve Our Website and Services: Analyze usage to enhance user experience.
  • To Communicate With You: Send updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • To Enforce Our Terms and Policies: Prevent fraudulent activities and ensure legal compliance.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: Trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Website and providing services.

Legal Requirements: If required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

4. Third-Party Services

Our Website may include links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

5. Google User Data

If you connect your Google account to import files from Google Drive into Brault, we access your Google Drive data solely to provide the import feature, using read-only access (the Google "drive.readonly" scope):

  • Browsing and selection: we read file and folder metadata (names, types, sizes, and thumbnails) so you can browse your Google Drive and choose what to import.
  • Importing: we download only the files and folders you explicitly select and store copies of them in your Brault library.

We never create, modify, or delete anything in your Google Drive, and we never use Google user data for advertising or sell it. Brault's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and deletion of Google data:

  • Credentials: to run an import and let you import again without reconnecting, we store an encrypted Google OAuth token. We do not store your Google password. You can revoke Brault's access at any time by disconnecting Google Drive inside Brault — which revokes the token with Google and deletes the stored credential — or from your Google Account permissions page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).
  • Imported files: files you import become part of your Brault content and are retained and deleted like any other file — you can delete them individually at any time, and they are removed when you delete your account.
  • We do not retain Google Drive data for any file you did not choose to import.

6. Your Rights and Choices

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Services. You can delete your files at any time from within the Services, and you may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@brault.app. When you delete a file or your account, we remove the associated data from our active systems and purge it from backups on a rolling basis, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

8. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Website and services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
